Carriers Providing Tracking Code after FHS

For the majority of the European carriers when you request a new shipment from them, they will accept by giving you a tracking number for this shipment.

You use this information to create a shipment for an order inside your Seven Senders account.

But some carriers don't work that way. They will only give you the tracking number when the shipment has been scanned for the first time inside their own hub (FHS).

Before this shipment is scanned inside the carrier's hub, you need to provide the carrier with a Reference Number that will act as an ID for this shipment inside the carrier's system.

Workaround

Normally when you create a shipment inside your Seven Senders account, you provide a tracking number for each of them (cf. documentation below):

But with those carriers you will need to create shipments without this information, you will need to provide us with a Reference Number for the shipments.

When you ask the carrier to deliver the shipment

You need to create a shipment inside your Seven Senders account with the following information:

  • Reference Number
    • For BRT use the "numeric reference number" that they provide for each shipment

Seven Senders retrieve the tracking code for you

We are integrated with BRT to automatically update for you the right tracking code for the right shipment.

This is why it is important that the reference number that BRT is using should also used as reference number for your shipments inside your Analytics account.
